Rumors suggest an announcement of an intelligent life technosignature is imminent. Potential technosignatures include structured radio signals, evidence of satellite swarms, or even artificial light sources. With the ‘October Surprise’ seemingly a bust and the UAP Disclosure Act amendment faltering in Congress, this news would be a welcome development for those interested in extraterrestrial life.

Over the years, I’ve heard various UFOlogists (those who study unidentified aerial phenomena) I follow suggest a stepwise disclosure process leading up to the big reveal of extraterrestrial visitation. This is based on the assumption that the disclosure narrative is centrally controlled to some degree and there is general agreement on how to bring the rest of us in on this colossal secret. The first step is the announcement of the discovery of microbial life or life signatures such as methane, water, and other compounds found via spectrographs of exoplanets. Second, the discovery of technosignatures as mentioned above. And finally, an acknowledgement of an extraterrestrial presence on Earth.
So, will these rumors materialize, or will they fade like so many before? Is this genuine evidence, or simply wishful thinking fueled by misinterpreted whispers? Keep an eye out for announcements related to these exoplanets (identified by Linda Moulton Howe):
- Proxima Centauri
- TRAPPIST-1 E
- Kepler-186
- LHS 1140
- K2-180
- Gliese 1214
